Anne Whalen Gill
Anne Whalen Gill is the founder of Anne Whalen Gill, L.L.C. She formed the firm as a solo practice in 2000, specializing in appellate litigation. Prior to forming the firm, she served as a staff attorney at the Colorado Court of Appeals for 12 years. She co-authored the 1st edition of Colorado Appellate Law and Practice with Judge Leonard Plank. The 2nd edition is now available.
Ms. Gill specializes in appellate procedure and briefing. She consults at the trial level to ensure that issues are preserved for appeal. She handles all aspects of civil appeals, both prosecution and defense, and has briefed property issues such as easements and quiet title, contracts, constitutional issues, statutory interpretation, child custody and relocation matters.
Ms. Gill is a frequent lecturer on appellate practice, and has published several articles on various aspects of appellate practice.
