Anne Whalen Gill, L.L.C. was initially formed in 2000, when Anne Whalen Gill opened a solo appellate practice after serving for 12 years as staff attorney for the Colorado Civil Court of Appeals.

Ms. Gill was already a featured speaker at the Colorado Bar Association’s Continuing Legal Education courses, in-house seminars at the Colorado Civil Court of Appeals, and various private engagements. Her publications on the topics of appellate practice, procedural matters, statutory interpretation and motions practice have been widely acclaimed in the legal community. Her most recent publication is the latest edition of Colorado Appellate Law and Practice, which will be available through West Publishing in Fall 2007.

In February 2006, Sharlene Aitken joined the firm as an associate. Ms. Aitken previously practiced in the area of civil litigation, with emphasis in employment law, subrogation, and insurance defense. Since joining the firm, Ms. Aitken has applied her vital knowledge of trial court practice and procedure to the art of appellate advocacy.
